Best gifts of 2014

First off...HAPPY NEW YEAR!! *inserts balloon and confetti emoji* I know I'm a little late to the mark here and am well aware that we are 8 days into the New Year but I thought that I would write a little post about some of my favourite gifts I got for Christmas. All be it I worked most of the festive period, I still had an amazing Christmas and hope you all did too. This year I didn't really ask for anything so it was a complete surprise with everything that I got. I really do love Christmas, the day itself consists of spending time with friends and family, eating copious amounts of chocolate and turkey. Then slowly vegging out on the sofa watching the Queens Speech and all your favourite Christmas Day TV specials. So here is a little post of everything that I got both at Christmas and a couple of days after.
These trainers were from Urban Outfitters and technically weren't for Christmas but I did buy them with the money my Nana gave me. They were in the sale reduced to £35 and they are genuinely so comfy I can't believe I got them for so cheap. They are a waffle material on the front so your feet can breath and are great for work when i'm on my feet for hours.
I got two books for Christmas this year, both of which I have wanted for months. The first is Gone Girl and you can see I have already started it. It has had so much hype and the film was meant to be amazing so I can see this being a good read. The second is the Maze Runner which again has a film along side it but the story line is said to be similar to the Hunger Games so I know I will love it!
Now...These again weren't really for Christmas. Well they were but they were more a treat from me to me. I have wanted Beats for ages and having tried my friends at college I was even more determined to get some. I had been saving my tips up at work and saw that Tesco had a sale on. They were reduced from £120 to £80 and my Mam had some club-card vouchers so I got another £5 off. You can click and collect them in store too to save on delivery. Genuinely these are the best headphones I have ever had. The sound quality is insane and I can see me really getting my use out of these. Any music type sounds fantastic on them, plus they come with a carry case so you can listen on the go.
It's not Christmas without DVD's right? I know everyone has Netflix and SKY movies now but to me there isn't anything better than getting the actual DVD. I have seen all three of these films in the cinema so it might seem a little pointless to ask for them for Christmas. But genuinely they were that good, I could happily watch them over and over. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was probably the best film I saw in 2014 so I was so happy opening this on Christmas Day.
I don't know about you, but it's not Christmas unless you get some form of knitwear. I spotted this tartan scarf in Topman in October but never got round to buying it. Sure enough it was under the tree along with a plain grey beanie that will go perfect with literally anything I have. I do love a good beanie!
I was due an upgrade with my iPhone in June but my battery started to play up where it wouldn't hold the charge. So me and my Mam decided to go and trade in my old phone and I got the iPhone 6 plus 16gb in Silver. Some may say this phone is a little too big but after having the phone a couple of days, you really do get used to it and it's so nice to use! The screen is perfect for things like Blogging, watching YouTube videos and taking Instagram's.

I really feel super lucky about getting these things for Christmas, and did have a really nice day. I hope you all had an amazing day and have had a great start to the New Year. Hopefully 2015 will be a great year for you all. I'm going to try my best to keep blogging along side work and doing my A Levels because I genuinely do enjoy it.

Thank you all for reading,

Luke.
