Little Winter Haul.

Incase you hadn't already gathered, I buy a lot of clothes. But rather than get them for Christmas, my Mam got me a £100 TOPMAN gift card where I could go and get all the things that I wanted in the sale and get more for my money. It drives me insane buying something for full price then seeing it in the sale 2 weeks later, so sure enough the sales came and I kinda went a little crazy. With TOPMAN offering 10% student discount, I ended up getting a coat, 2 pairs of jeans, a shirt, a t-shirt and a ring all for £100. I don't think thats bad going. I also had a little wander into Primark as I was looking for a scarf that would go with my burgundy coat. Here is all that I bought:
Now with me, jeans have to be fitted. I really don't think I look good in baggy jeans and I think it looks well when you have fitted jeans then a baggy top, but never both. TOPMAN do a great style called "Stretch Skinny" Jeans. They are skinny but they fit where you want them too having enough room to move without thinking you are going to rip them. I got a light navy pair and a dark denim pair for £54 with student discount. You could dress these up or down, either with a slouchy jumper or a fitted white shirt and boots.
The next item was the bargain of the century. This scarf was from Primark and it was £3, yep £3. It is like a chunky marl texture and keeps you super warm. I have a burgundy scarf but I wanted something that would go with the new coat I bought.
Again, an absolute steal. I saw this bag on the shelf and it had a reduced sticker on it. It was £5 and I thought it would be perfect for taking to work and throwing my work gear in there. I really like that it doesn't look cheap and it will go with anything being black.
It has a front pocket for easy access items and then two straps which are studs so it is easy to get in and out of your bag. You could fit a lot in here and for £5 you genuinely cannot go wrong.
This is probably the best sale item I have ever bought. I had been looking at this coat for a while and i saw that it was £85. I do have a thick parker from TOPMAN but I wanted something a little lighter and that had a bit of colour. This coat was in the sale reduced from £85 to £27 with student discount. I didn't know how quick to get it off the rail. It is the perfect fit and thickness where you won't be too warm or cold.
It has arm details and a row of 6 buttons which give the coat a smart look. Again this would look great if you work in an office with smart attire or like I wore it with a grey jumper and skinny jeans. I do love a good bargain and I think these items will see me throughout Winter. The grey scarf goes really well with the coat and it breaks up the block colour of burgundy.
Sale shopping isn't everyones cup of tea, and sometimes if you see something you really like...get it because it might be gone next time you go back in store. But if you don't mind waiting, you can get some great staple pieces for a great price.

Thank you very much for reading,

Luke.

Best gifts of 2014

First off...HAPPY NEW YEAR!! *inserts balloon and confetti emoji* I know I'm a little late to the mark here and am well aware that we are 8 days into the New Year but I thought that I would write a little post about some of my favourite gifts I got for Christmas. All be it I worked most of the festive period, I still had an amazing Christmas and hope you all did too. This year I didn't really ask for anything so it was a complete surprise with everything that I got. I really do love Christmas, the day itself consists of spending time with friends and family, eating copious amounts of chocolate and turkey. Then slowly vegging out on the sofa watching the Queens Speech and all your favourite Christmas Day TV specials. So here is a little post of everything that I got both at Christmas and a couple of days after.
These trainers were from Urban Outfitters and technically weren't for Christmas but I did buy them with the money my Nana gave me. They were in the sale reduced to £35 and they are genuinely so comfy I can't believe I got them for so cheap. They are a waffle material on the front so your feet can breath and are great for work when i'm on my feet for hours.
I got two books for Christmas this year, both of which I have wanted for months. The first is Gone Girl and you can see I have already started it. It has had so much hype and the film was meant to be amazing so I can see this being a good read. The second is the Maze Runner which again has a film along side it but the story line is said to be similar to the Hunger Games so I know I will love it!
Now...These again weren't really for Christmas. Well they were but they were more a treat from me to me. I have wanted Beats for ages and having tried my friends at college I was even more determined to get some. I had been saving my tips up at work and saw that Tesco had a sale on. They were reduced from £120 to £80 and my Mam had some club-card vouchers so I got another £5 off. You can click and collect them in store too to save on delivery. Genuinely these are the best headphones I have ever had. The sound quality is insane and I can see me really getting my use out of these. Any music type sounds fantastic on them, plus they come with a carry case so you can listen on the go.
It's not Christmas without DVD's right? I know everyone has Netflix and SKY movies now but to me there isn't anything better than getting the actual DVD. I have seen all three of these films in the cinema so it might seem a little pointless to ask for them for Christmas. But genuinely they were that good, I could happily watch them over and over. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was probably the best film I saw in 2014 so I was so happy opening this on Christmas Day.
I don't know about you, but it's not Christmas unless you get some form of knitwear. I spotted this tartan scarf in Topman in October but never got round to buying it. Sure enough it was under the tree along with a plain grey beanie that will go perfect with literally anything I have. I do love a good beanie!
I was due an upgrade with my iPhone in June but my battery started to play up where it wouldn't hold the charge. So me and my Mam decided to go and trade in my old phone and I got the iPhone 6 plus 16gb in Silver. Some may say this phone is a little too big but after having the phone a couple of days, you really do get used to it and it's so nice to use! The screen is perfect for things like Blogging, watching YouTube videos and taking Instagram's.

I really feel super lucky about getting these things for Christmas, and did have a really nice day. I hope you all had an amazing day and have had a great start to the New Year. Hopefully 2015 will be a great year for you all. I'm going to try my best to keep blogging along side work and doing my A Levels because I genuinely do enjoy it.

Thank you all for reading,

Luke.
